at the Ritz Paris
We are delighted to announce the long-awaited launch of the illustrated book " Paraiba: A Legacy of Color "at the prestigious Ritz Paris, followed by an event in London. The book, commissioned by our customer Ferreira Gems, was prefaced by our business partner, Mr. Stanislas de Quercize. It highlights the magnificent Paraiba tourmalinefrom its extraction in the Ferreira Gems to the finest jewellery creations from Place Vendôme and around the world.
The book offers a captivating exploration of the world of gems and fine jewelry, beginning with an evocative introduction by Stanislas de Quercize, who shares his passion for iconic brands such as Cartier and Van Cleef. It continues with detailed chapters on the psychological impact of colorsthe fascinating story of the discovery of Paraiba tourmaline told by Kevin Ferreira, gemologist and Paraiba tourmaline specialist due to his family's involvement in mining the gemstone in Brazil and Africa. Renom jewelry influencer Katerina Perez then reveals the art of creating marvelous jewelry featuring Paraiba, illustrated with gouaches and exclusive renderings. In a short section, readers can also discover Dr. Laurent Massi's practical advice on buying and selling these precious gems.
The last part of the book is a veritable "who's who" of fine jewelry artists, designers and luxury brands who have used Paraiba to create magnificent jewelry. From haute couture brand Chanel, to Hong Kong fine jewelry artist Wallace Chan, the book reveals dozens of examples in over 100 images of Paraiba and its use in fine jewelry. Even more special are the rarely seen images from inside the mines, of the gemstone's early pioneers and of Paraiba in its raw state before it is cut and polished.
Authors receive Ritz Paris representatives of prestigious brands, the press, designers and jewelry enthusiasts from the United States, France, China and all over the world.
